R STARS Events: Vision Planter

Whether it’s acts of service to help the community. Or creating enriching experiences to bring joy, self-care, and empowerment to Students That Are Raising Standards and senior citizens. R STARS Projects strives to motivate, celebrate, and inspire through our events. In June 2021, we got the opportunity to do just that. Some of R STARS and R Founder, got together at Despojitos MIA to create vision planters under the guidance of Erika (a.k.a., La Succulenta).

What’s a vision planter?

To create a vision planter is almost like making a vision board, but it’s on a whole different level. You know the process. You cut out the words and pictures of things you love about your life, and also things you want to achieve or attract into your life. All that’s the same as creating a vision board. But what changes with a vision planter is that you paste your dreams, wishes, and good vibes on the planter which will hold the soil in which all of those intentions will be firmly planted, watered, nourished by the sun, and grow. As it grows, so do you. And you move closer to achieving everything you thoughtfully pasted to that planter.

R Intentions for the Coming Year

Everyone who attended and hosted the event set intentions that day, and as a growing organization, we have many. 

Here are some of R intentions for the coming year:

• We will continue creating special experiences like this for outstanding students and seniors in our community.
• R new website is going live this year, and you will likely be reading this as a result of a team who has put their heart into creating this virtual space where R STARS can continue to shine.
• And last, but not least, like the little succulents in our planters, we intend to grow to bring more joy and light to R community.
